We are often asked as to what constitutes a trade finance boutique – and the simple answer is a mezzanine trade finance arranger or provider fulfilling roles that are often neglected by the big banks. But it can also be much more than this as flexibility is the key in this area of trade business. With some important players in this respect in the Asian region, we thought it highly appropriate to introduce this category to our Asian awards for the first time this year.
