State bank approves HSBC and Standard Chartered to be the first foreign banks to open wholly-owned entities in Vietnam.

HSBC and Standard Chartered Bank have been granted approval from the State Bank of Vietnam to become the first foreign banks to open wholly-owned entities in the country a statement released by the bank says.
