EBRD commits to investment in Kazakhstan

The European Bank of Reconstruction and Development has signed a MoU to invest in infrastructure and industrial projects in Kazakhstan.

The European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to invest up to $1 billion in projects in Kazakhstan in collaboration with the Kazakh Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Kazakh National Wealth Fund.

A Memorandum of Understanding to this effect was signed today in Astana between the three parties, in support of the Kazakhstan government’s economic diversification programme. (Trade Finance 08/02/10)
